Landscape Photography

Landscape photography is a genre intended to show different spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographers show little or some human activity striving to attain a pure landscape. They use subjects such as landforms, weather and ambient light.


Landscape photography is a very broad term, encompassing urban, industrial, macro and nature. The most popular form of landscape photography is waterfalls and mountains.


Landscape photographs are often created with tools such as a pinhole camera and tripod, usually with a wide angle lens. The photographers use medium or large format systems to record as much details as possible.


Some notable Landscape Photographers include; Ansel Adams, Bill Brandt and Edward Weston.
